JACINDA AYTCH
The year has flown by as we've adjusted, or tried to adjust, to life in quarantine. Holidays have come and went but THE holiday season is coming up on us quicker than you would think. With Black Friday, Small Business Saturday, and Cyber Monday on the horizon I will be having a 20% off sale on commissions and products. If you're checking out from the store, make sure you type in the coupon code "BLACKFRIDAY20" to get your 20% off. If you are ordering a commission, a PayPal invoice will be sent to you with the original price detailed and the 20% discount added.
Support Black artists this Black Friday weekend.

The past month has been a rough one for everyone. The threat of the coronavirus isn't something that should be taken lightly though while quarantined we find ourselves missing the things we once took for granted. Having the option to go out wherever we wanted, being around large groups of people, being able to eat in at our favorite restaurants. While it is sad, being quarantined has given us the chance to take up new hobbies and to give us the chance to work on projects. Personally, I have taken up animating once again. A few short sequences here and there to get the juices flowing once more but it is something that I have really enjoyed. Both animations were done using two different methods. The first one, we'll call our little blob friend Gnocchi, was done utilizing frame by frame animation. Each frame was drawn individually. As with it being the first, it is a little choppy and had some continuity issues, but it was a fun test.
The second was done utilizing key frames. As the background was a static image, the easiest part was to adjust the positioning of the orb and the opacity of the the glow for each key frame. I look forward to doing more experiments with animation, even as just a way to see some ideas come to life beyond art. I hope everyone of you stay safe and exercise caution during this time. January has come and gone now, though all of it feels as if January was a year all by itself.
So for the sake of our sanity, I'll make this very brief: Commission prices have been raised! A small raise in some categories and a slightly larger raise in others. That is it, that's the announcement! For now at least.
Hi loves! Hope you guys are doing well, just a few updates for you guys. The store has been updated with a couple of NEW products, with more prints intended to be made available later throughout the month. Along with new prints, StepSisters is now in its fourth chapter and updates every Sunday at around 12 pm EST. If you haven't started the series you can catch it from the beginning on either Tapas or Webtoons.
Hello everyone!
I'm going to make this brief. The storefront I primarily use, TicTail, decided a couple of months ago that it would be merging with Shopify as of April 2019. So, starting next January I will be shifting the primary storefront over to Storenvy. It is the same as TicTail, probably with a little more customization options and features, so it everything will still be the same. Anyways, see you guys then! |
